Colette Batkins has had Sjögrens Syndrome for 50 years and she has decided that throwing herself out of an airplane to raise money for the BSSA is a good idea!
On Saturday 25th August, Colette will take on the challenge of jumping out of an airplane, which she thought would be easier than a marathon! She said “I thought it was a good idea, although when I’m over 10,000 feet and hurtling to the ground at 120mph with only a piece of cloth between me and death (well if you don’t count the expert to pull the cord – I can’t rely on me to remember as Sjögren’s also affects my memory), I might just change my mind!”.
Colette has promised that if she emerges unscathed, she will report back after the event!
